Alliance Physical Therapy - Chattanooga Introduces New Technology Developed by Emovi for Advanced Knee Care
The KneeKG will launch in nine clinics and address patients with knee dysfunction requiring interventional therapy

Montreal, Canada – June 24, 2021 – Emovi, Inc. announced today, Alliance Physical Therapy, a physical therapist-owned outpatient orthopedic practice using research-driven treatments to provide relief and restoring patient’s quality of life, has introduced nine KneeKGTM systems in its Chattanooga, TN clinics. The KneeKG is the first clinically validated tool that meets the global needs of clinicians for objective and quantifiable data to understand the causes of orthopedic knee pain. The technique, described as a Knee Kinesiography exam, assesses the patient’s knee in 3D while in motion, unveiling the precise biomechanical dysfunction and providing clinicians with quantifying data to develop and customize the necessary medical interventions based on each patients’ specific issue.

“Globally, knee pain is extremely prevalent and a growing epidemic, leaving millions suffering and clinicians without the accurate insight needed to provide concrete answers or solutions,” said Allan Valenzuela, President of Alliance Physical Therapy. “The innovation and AI technology of the KneeKG are incredible. Never have we had a tool that can show us exactly what biomechanical dysfunction is presenting in the knee or quantifying data to support and address the problem. We are thrilled to add this technology to all of our clinics and precisely diagnose dysfunctions to correct, and even prevent, patients’ knee pain.”

The KneeKGTM is the first clinically validated tool that meets the global needs of clinicians for objective and quantifiable biomechanical markers linked to pain and instabilities of an orthopedic cause, such as those associated with knee osteoarthritis, anterior knee pain, and ligament injuries. Just as vital organs, such as the heart or kidneys, are examined to determine disease and dysfunctions, the KneeKG assesses and documents the knee function and highlights any biomechanical dysfunction with extraordinary accuracy and reliability. The clinical data extracted from the computerized assessment defines the exact mechanical issue within the knee, giving healthcare professionals the medically necessary information to enhance treatment decision-making and address the impaired biomechanical markers. With the specified data from the KneeKGTM system, healthcare professionals can help their patients achieve pain reduction, improved treatment(s), and better outcomes, which will improve patient satisfaction and quality of life.

“One out of five people experience knee pain during their life due to an injury or pathology such as knee osteoarthritis, patellofemoral syndrome, ACL rupture, or a meniscal tear,” said Michelle Laflamme, president and CEO of Emovi, Inc. “Health care providers need a complete diagnostic picture of such a complex joint, just as they would if they were addressing disease such as heart failure, in order to improve outcomes for patients with knee pain. We are delighted to welcome Alliance Physical Therapy to the Emovi family as they introduce the KneeKG into clinics.”
