Despite Pandemic Stay-at-Home Orders Dental Health is Still Important to Overall Well-Being

Whether it is a crown, a bridge, or full dentures, surgically implanted posts that are tiny and made of titanium can not only enhance a patient’s smile and chewing ability but lend a structure and sturdiness to an implant or restoration.  Dental health is tied closely to physical health and mental well-being since many activities can be tied to the ability to eat and chew comfortably.  The Art of Dentistry, of Toronto, with the renowned dentist, Dr. Sol Weiss, is open for business but has implemented Covid-19 controls following the latest guidelines of the Ontario province.

The staff has upgraded their PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and patients must come alone.  Each patient will be asked to stay in their car or outside The Art of Dentistry until they receive a text that they may enter.  Pre-screening for Covid-19 will take place over the phone before any appointment and all employees are routinely screened. If a patient feels ill before an appointment The Art of Dentistry asks that an appointment be rescheduled. A second in-person screening occurs when entering this practice.

Masks must be worn and if a patient does not have one, then a mask will be provided at a minimal cost, not for monetary gain but to keep the supplies of PPE as full as possible.  A hand sanitizing station will be available, and all patients must sanitize when entering the office.  The physical distancing of 2 meters will be enforced, and all patients are asked to brush and floss before they arrive as the bathrooms will not be available. If any patient is a child, they also must follow protocols, but one parent will be allowed in with a child.

The Art of Dentistry requirements shows the attention to their patient’s overall health within this dental practice. However, since the Pandemic is going on for so long, this practice is there to serve anyone’s needs in dental implants and tooth loss. Even if needing full dentures, The Art of Dentistry can make these more stable with dental implants. Dental health must go on, despite the Pandemic but The Art of Dentistry is simply providing much-needed dental care with a combination of overall Pandemic safety regulations to prevent illness in their staff and of course, in their patients.

The Art of Dentistry will continue to provide the finest in dental implants and increase the enjoyment of life that patients with cracked, broken, or missing teeth might be missing out on.  There can be good dental care through implants during a Pandemic and The Art of Dentistry has taken all steps necessary to provide that type of care and consideration.
