The Blockchain Academy launches Expert Panel to discuss the Future of Education for Blockchain Technology

The Blockchain Academy, a global educational platform for the blockchain industry, announced this week that it will host a series of educational talks with experts from the blockchain industry to explore the future of education and the adoption of blockchain as part of mainstream curriculums in Universities across the world. Taking part in the discussions will be lecturers, Web3 specialists, higher education faculty, government association representatives and of course the students who are eager to learn and lacking the resources currently to expand on their knowledge. The series of ‘ask me anything’ panel discussions will take place over four weeks and teachers, students and the general public will have an opportunity to learn about the challenges facing education in blockchain and how they can be addressed in the future.

“For the last year we have been consulting with students from over 20 Universities across the globe and the common response is that there are not enough resources or courses on offer focusing on the applications of blockchain technology. These talks will be an extension of this consultation so that we can devise the best ways to bring students the educational materials they demand” says Ryan Williams, Director of the Blockchain Academy.

The adoption of blockchain technology into mainstream arenas is very much dependent on the distribution of education regarding the various applications of the technology. From initial discussions with various stakeholders, including several Student blockchain clubs in the US and Ireland it seems as though the swell of demand is driven by students from outside the classroom rather than lecturers within the walls of the educational institutions. One student expressed how disappointed a group of over 50 students were to learn that there was no replacement for their blockchain lecturer when they moved into industry last year. This is a problem that must be solved if we are going to capitalize on the booming blockchain industry and demonstrate the advanced uses of the technology beyond crypto and NFTs.

“As an educational platform with a constant stream of news and new projects getting into the area of blockchain we are aware of the need to address any gaps in the skills required to further an understanding Blockchain technology and the solutions it offers. We are proud to be a media partner of this series of talks,” notes Jillian Godsil, Editor in Chief at Blockleaders.io

The Blockchain Academy is providing the crucial links between educators and students to drive the adoption of blockchain technology forward. Working with all blockchains across a wide range of industries

The series of discussions appropriately titled Blockchain & Education will take place on Twitter spaces with the first talk on February 3rd. Speakers will include lecturers, teachers, blockchain representatives, government representatives and students. In each session, questions around the future of blockchain education will be addressed.

All who are interested to discuss, listen and participate in the series of talks are welcome to join the first event on Twitter spaces, Feb 3rd at 1PM EST/6PM GMT
