2) Consume plenty of protein. Protein is essential for maintaining healthy muscle mass and preventing weight gain. It’s also important for keeping your energy levels up. Try to include a protein-rich food at every meal.

3) Avoid goitrogens. Goitrogens are substances that can interfere with thyroid function. Foods that are high in goitrogens include raw broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, and soybeans. If you have a thyroid condition it’s best to avoid these foods as much as possible.
